Headless Checkout Exploration
Co-creation study @ Fast
The purpose of this study was to understand how we can further improve Fast Checkout by assessing what is needed for buyers to initiate headless checkout and to make them feel confident making their purchase

Buyer checkout & Fast perceptions study
Moderated usability study @ Fast
The goal of this study was to gain a general understanding of user's perception of Fast checkout and what pain points arise when using Fast checkout. This study surfaced friction points due to lack of comprehension, which resulted in altered roadmaps to solve this issue.

Third party consent unbundling
Usability test @ Google
In 2019, consent unbundling was released to new third party (3P) apps. This flow incorporated a step by step level of approvals, giving the user the opportunity to give partial consent to certain data being shared or used.
The performance was tracked pre and post launch using pass-through rates. We saw a small % drop in pass-through rate and only a small percent of users utilized the ability to give partial consent, most gave full consent.

The results helped determine which consent version to move froward with as well as highlight opportunity areas for future iterations.

Verified phone number
Concept test @ Google
This study focused on user's identity and whether or not creating workarounds to make signing in on third party sites easier for the user would be a positive experience, or cause the user to feel unsafe.Â
This study tested two concepts using a phone number to sign in, to evaluate which concept is the best direction to move forward with.
This research resulted in design iterations to focus on transparency in what information is being shared and why.

About Me

My name is Rebecca (Becca) Flores and I most recently worked as a User Researcher at Affirm. I have spent the last couple years in the financial tech space and have enjoyed helping companies understand and create better experiences for their users during this tough economic climate.
Throughout the last 5 years, I've had wonderful opportunities working at a mix of companies, from large well known companies, like Google, to smaller start-ups, like Fast. I progressed my career across these companies from being an intern to establishing and leading research as the first user researcher for a company. I've learned various methods and am comfortable with a range of planing and building out research roadmaps to getting down and dirty with scrappy projects to gain quick insights.
When i'm not working, I enjoy being outside whether it be hiking or reading at the beach. I also love traveling and am always planning my next adventure.
I am currently seeking a full-time or contract Senior User Research position where I can put my work experience and personable skills to use.
